In The Outsiders of Christmas, we’re looking at the forgotten figures around the manger — Zechariah, Elizabeth, Simeon, and Anna — ordinary people God used in extraordinary ways. Their stories remind us that God notices the overlooked, speaks in the silence, strengthens the discouraged, and rewards those who keep waiting when everyone else gives up.

During Advent, we step back from the rush of lights, gifts, and holiday frenzy. We remember the silent nights before Bethlehem, the long wait of God’s people, and the quiet hope that changes everything. Through candlelight, Scripture, worship, and reflection, we set aside space to rediscover hope, peace, joy, and love — the very gifts Christ brings into our world.
